Dubai
The creek, the marina and a morning walk · December 2025 to January 2026
Two weeks in Dubai over the New Year, with a small camera and no plan. I kept ending up at the water: the creek in grey midday haze, the marina from a boat with the sun going down behind it, a wooden deck where the gulls come in at dusk.
There are no tigers here, but the habits are the same — go where the water is, wait for the light, and photograph whatever turns up. On the last morning that was a black cat on a pavement, washing itself in the first sun.
